The secret of getting things done is to act!
The creative act amazes me. Whether it’s poetry, whether it’s music, it’s an amazing process, and it has something to do with bringing forth the old out into the world to create and to bring forth that which will rejuvenate.
A leader must have the courage to act against an expert’s advice.
War consisteth not in battle only, or the act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is sufficiently known.
The first ‘D’ is to dream: dream big – not for yourself, but for the country and for the world. The second ‘D’ is to discover: discover your full potential and the opportunities that surround you; and the third ‘D’ is to do. ‘Do’ means to act on your dreams and make best use of the opportunities you have discovered.
Reading is an act of civilization; it’s one of the greatest acts of civilization because it takes the free raw material of the mind and builds castles of possibilities.
So the bodhisattva saves all beings, not by preaching sermons to them, but by showing them that they are delivered, they are liberated, by the act of not being able to stop changing.
It is not impossible to think that the minds of philosophers sometimes act like those of other mortals, and that, having once been determined by diverse circumstances to adopt certain views, they then look for and naturally find reasons to justify these views.
I claim that human mind or human society is not divided into watertight compartments called social, political and religious. All act and react upon one another.
The good pleasure of God is an act of the divine will freely and effectively determining all things.
